An adaptogenic tea blend for morning (or anytime). Promotes energy, vitality, cognition and immunity, without the caffeine. Developed in the brain-fog of early postpartum and still a firm ritual in my day.
Let's start with our adaptogens - Nettle, Gotu Kola, Tulsi, & Siberian Ginseng:
Nettle provides optimal vitamins and minerals for energy support - particularly iron - and fights anemia. It is particularly great when you're feeling emotionally or physcially drained. It is a very valuable ally no matter where you are in your life cycle as nearly all of us could do with more iron, but especially for those with heavier periods, in the postpartum time when blood loss and milk production are ramped up, or during pregnancy.
Gotu kola is an Ayurvedic herb that is excellent for reducing nervous exhaustion and promoting mental clarity. It also acts as a tonic for connective tissue and is therefore helpful in rejuvenating uterine ligament tone after birth.
Tulsi, or Holy Basil, is another Ayurvedic herb. It is uplifting and warming, imparting clarity and lightness in the body, mind and spirit. It helps the body deal with stress and supports healthy circulation.
Siberian Ginseng, or Eleuthero, imparts brain and cognitive support, boosts energy, and strengthens the stress response and immunity.
Lemon balm is an uplifting nervous system tonic that is calming without being drowsy (and its calming effects are passed down to breastfed babies, too!)
Rose hips are incredibly high in vitamin C and can support healthy bowel movements.
And a little bit of Rose petals for the heart ❤️
This blend also contains small amounts of Rosemary to further boost cognition, clarity and memory support.
